Appalachian Town Name Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases
Appalachian Town Name Hand Painted Needlepoint Canvases
Hurricane Helene has caused incredible damage in Appalachian communities. I live very close to some of the worst of the damage, and Spellbound Stitchery will be without power, Internet, and phone signal for an unknown amount of time as recovery efforts progress. We were extremely lucky, and were safe from flooding, but so many in our mountain community were not spared from the horrors of this natural disaster.
25% of proceeds from canvas sales will be donated to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in Appalachia.
The North Carolina canvases will be hand painted and stitch painted to a size of 5.6"x2.1" and Tennessee canvases will be hand painted and stitch painted to a size of 1.5"x6". Stitchers are encouraged to stitch a 1/2" border all the way around the design for finishing. I will continue to add more town names as I design them, focusing this first batch of designs on towns in Appalachia, but eventually adding more.
