Krampus Needlepoint Canvas 4" Round
Krampus Needlepoint Canvas 4" Round
Meet KRAMPUS! Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure in Central and Eastern Alpine folklore who, during the Christmas season, scares children who have misbehaved. Assisting Saint Nicholas, or Santa Claus, the pair visit children on the night of December 5th, with Saint Nicholas rewarding the well-behaved children with modest gifts such as oranges, dried fruit, walnuts and chocolate, while the badly behaved ones only receive punishment from Krampus with birch rods.
This may be somewhat of an obscure holiday tradition, but I am completely fascinated and enthralled by Krampus! Many of my German friends know him well and have celebrated the holidays with Krampus as a prominent character alongside Santa Claus.
This canvas is designed in a 4" round with the background color to be decided by the stitcher and the final shape merely suggested. Hand painted on 18 mesh.
This listing is for the hand painted needlepoint canvas only, no threads or stitching included. Colors may be slightly different due to screen resolution.
